Lake Cumberland Report May 27, 2020
The weather's heating up and so is the fishing. The fish are coming off the nest, and they've brought their appetite too. Fish are migrating to main lake points and can be caught on a variety of moving baits. Flukes, swimbaits and topwater are working great before the sun gets bright. When the partiers get out and the sun gets hot, the ends of long points with heavy finesse gear like drop shots and shakey heads have been putting late fish in the boat. Clients who use live bait have been having exceptional success lately too. 7 yo Zeke here got his personal best Sunday on one of our charters and caught numbers as well. We still have a few days open in June, so give us a call. The water's hopefully going to come down quick so we can get back to catching megatrout below the dam. Its an exciting time to be on the water.
